SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
What is Shockwave therapy?

Shockwave therapy is an effective, non-invasive treatment particularly effective for joint and tendon problems. Shockwave therapy treatment works by sending out acoustic shockwaves into bone and soft tissue, breaking up the scarring that has penetrated tendons and ligaments. This allows the body to regenerate blood vessels and bone cells. The result leads to faster healing and often a return to pre-injury activity levels.

The application of shockwaves, known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is an evidence-based, effective treatment for plantar fasciitis and most tendinopathy conditions.
